Being "Redneck" doesn't mean you come from a specific area or from a specific group. Rednecks are found in everywhere, in every culture.

And, you just gotta love'em. Can you think of any group, anywhere, who would so readily let themselves be mocked and take such ridicule and make it their own trademark? I've collected photos and email forwards and combined them here as a salute to all Rednecks, no matter where they live or what they do for a living. Enjoy. And send me anything you'd like to see added here!

Recently I received this email and I think it says it all. So as you enjoy the humor on these pages, please take time to consider this comment from my friend and relative:

"We have enjoyed the redneck jokes for years. It's time to take a reflective look at the core beliefs of a culture that values home, family, country and God. If I had to stand before a dozen terrorists who threaten my life, I'd choose a half dozen or so rednecks to back me up. Tire irons, squirrel guns and grit -- that's what rednecks are made of. Ya'll know who ya' are..."

X It never occurred to you to be offended by the phrase, "One nation, under God."


X You've never protested about seeing the 10 Commandments posted in public places.


X You still say "Christmas" instead of "Winter Festival."


X You bow your head when someone prays.


X You stand and place your hand over your heart when they play the National Anthem.


X You treat Viet Nam vets with great respect, and always have.


X You've never burned an American flag.


X You know what you believe and you aren't afraid to say so, no matter who is listening.


X You respect your elders and expect your kids to do the same.


X You'd give your last dollar to a friend.
